Job summary

NCFE in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a Finance Manager to join our Finance team. You will support the Head of Financial Services and lead a team of eight, ensuring accurate financial operations and robust controls.

The role covers management and statutory accounts, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and system improvements, notably Dynamics 365 Business Central, with a focus on process enhancement and strategic decision support.

Qualifications

• A qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
• Experience producing monthly accounts, forecasts and budgets
• Experience preparing and reviewing Balance Sheet reconciliations to support the underlying accounting information.
• Strong IT skills with an understanding of the importance of data management
• Proficient in Excel and other commonly used Microsoft Office applications
• Experienced user of accounting software and proven ability to adapt to new systems.
• Excellent communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with good analytical skills
• A team player with good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate, insightful financial reporting that supports informed decision-making, strengthens financial controls and improves organisational performance
• Work closely with operational teams to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, manage costs, develop robust business cases and optimise systems and processes
• Champion continuous improvement, ensure regulatory compliance and contribute to a positive, inclusive workplace culture
