Job summary

OpenDigital Limited in North Cumbria is seeking a Finance Manager to lead management accounts, VAT returns, tax calculations, and annual audits while driving improvements across processes and platforms.

You will manage a team of 4, coordinate with external auditors, and enhance financial controls. The role suits a confident communicator with 5+ years in a similar position and qualifications such as CIMA/ACCA, plus ERP proficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in a similar role and ideally CIMA/ACCA qualification.
• Able to communicate financial information across the business.
• Self-starter with proactive approach to process improvements.
• Strong IT skills including advanced Excel and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of management accounts for the Board with commentary and top line analysis.
• Complete VAT Returns, Corp tax calculations, reconciliations and HMRC processes.
• Drive continual improvement through regular review of processes and platforms.
• Liaise with external auditors and assist in the annual audit to produce statutory accounts.
• Manage, mentor, motivate and appraise a team of 4 staff.
• Oversee AP, AR, balance sheet reconciliations and cashflow activities.
