Job summary

Halfords is recruiting a Finance Assistant to support day-to-day finance, process transactions, manage payment runs and keep financial records accurate. The role offers exposure to KPI reporting, card administration, reconciliations and invoice management within a supportive finance team.

The position is based at the Redditch site with a hybrid policy (2 days on site, optional 3 days at home) and a competitive package including pension, bonus potential, and generous holiday entitlement.

Qualifications

• Team-oriented with the ability to support other team members.
• Knowledge of SAP beneficial but not essential as training available.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel, SharePoint and Teams.
• Good organisational and time management skills in a demanding environment.
• Strong attention to detail with a willingness to learn and develop.
• Experience in process or service improvement is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Process day-to-day finance transactions and payment runs.
• High volume purchase invoice processing and reconciliations.
• Handle queries arising from Accounts Payable and liaise with suppliers and colleagues.
• Manage corporate and virtual card transactions with receipts.
• Assist with Month-end reporting and KPI reporting.
• Support rent payment schedules and service charges administration.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
