Job summary

Sonata Software is recruiting an Exchange Customer Engineer with deep expertise in Exchange Online, On-Premises, and Hybrid deployments to support enterprise environments.

The role covers architecture, migration, troubleshooting and administration of Exchange Hybrid solutions, including HCW, DAG management and secure mail routing, while coordinating with stakeholders on complex messaging projects.

Qualifications

• 15–20 years of IT experience overall.
• Solid Exchange Online and Exchange On-Premises experience.
• Proven track record with Exchange Hybrid environments.
• Active SC Security Clearance.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Strong customer-facing, technical writing, presentation and training skills.
• Experience in enterprise/customer environments.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Exchange Server 2016/2019/SE and Exchange Online.
• Design, implement and maintain Exchange Hybrid environments.
• Configure and troubleshoot HCW, hybrid mail flow and secure mail routing.
• Manage DAGs, mailboxes, transport services, connectors and certificates.
• Troubleshoot mail flow, Autodiscover, Outlook connectivity and authentication.
• Manage Exchange Online mailboxes, groups and permissions; support migrations.
• Configure mail flow rules, retention, archiving and compliance policies.
• Support Exchange Online Protection and Defender for Office 365.
• Use PowerShell for administration and automation.
