Job summary

MBDA UK is seeking an Electronics Production Design Support Engineer in Bolton with a strong background in analogue and digital electronics. The role interfaces with manufacturing teams, providing technical knowledge and support, while driving improvements and robust design solutions.

You will work autonomously when needed, taking ownership of assignments, and communicating clearly with stakeholders. A manufacturing environment background and DFx focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Ideally degree qualified (or equivalent industry experience) with experience of designing product/systems and/or providing support to designs through the manufacturing phase of the product lifecycle.
• Proven experience in the design of Analogue and Digital Electronics.
• Investigative skills to identify Root Causes of design issues and propose corrective actions.
• Autonomous work style, able to lead delivery and engage with stakeholders to ensure successful outputs.
• Excellent verbal communication, negotiation and influencing skills with ability to produce clear engineering documentation.

Responsibilities

• Act as part of the design team and interface with manufacturing teams while providing knowledge and support.
• Contribute to engineering challenges and personal growth in electronics.
• Help shape product designs to deliver manufacturing support to customers.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery and continuous improvement of DFx.
