MBDA is seeking a design support engineer in Bolton to interface with manufacturing and deliver knowledge and support across product lines.
You will work on analogue and digital electronics, tackling design challenges while growing your skills in related areas and collaborating with stakeholders for successful outcomes. The role emphasizes hands-on engineering in a dynamic environment with opportunities for personal and technical development.
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.
You will act as part of the design team as one of the main interfaces to our manufacturing teams while working alongside other support engineers to provide knowledge and support.
The role offers the candidate a true engineering challenge in their core discipline(s), whilst providing scope for personal growth and development in other areas of electronics.

You'll need to demonstrate a number of the following attributes:
Ideally degree qualified (or equivalent industry experience) with experience of designing product/systems and/or providing support to designs through the manufacturing phase of the product lifecycle.
Proven experience in the design of the following disciplines:-
Investigative skills to be able to find Root Causes of design related issues and propose robust corrective actions.
Someone who will be prepared to work autonomously if needed, lead the delivery of your work assignments, and actively engage with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of your outputs.
Excellent verbal communication, negotiation and influencing skills with the capability to write clear and concise engineering documentation.
Experience in a manufacturing environment and supporting and resolving manufacturing issues and a view to implement Design for Manufacture improvements into the design.
