Job summary

Johnson Matthey Plc in the United Kingdom is seeking an EHS Advisor to support operational teams with practical safety guidance, help deliver the site EHS plan and drive risk reduction and performance improvements.

You will lead or support incident investigations, audits and inspections, develop Safe Systems of Work (permit-to-work and high-risk controls), assist COMAH compliance, and deliver EHS training to strengthen safety culture across the site.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Certificate with progress towards a Diploma or equivalent health and safety qualification.
• Experience in an industrial, engineering or process-manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, COMAH, COSHH and environmental permitting requirements.
• Qualified auditor with experience supporting management system compliance and continual improvement.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to a range of stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical EHS advice, coaching and support to operational teams, helping ensure safe and compliant working practices.
• Lead or support incident investigations, audits, inspections and behavioural safety activities.
• Assist with emergency planning arrangements and support COMAH compliance requirements across the site.
• Develop and promote Safe Systems of Work, including permit-to-work and high-risk activity controls.
• Deliver EHS training and collaborate with leaders, contractors and employees to strengthen safety culture.
