Job summary

WhatJobs Direct is seeking a dynamic Project Manager to lead the development and enhancement of ecommerce platforms in a hybrid East London setting. You will oversee the full project lifecycle from concept to optimization, coordinating with design, development, marketing and operations teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in ecommerce or web projects, strong knowledge of platforms like Shopify, Magento and WooCommerce, and proven Agile experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on e-commerce or web development.
• Proven experience leading online retail platforms, website redesigns or feature rollouts.
• Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce) and digital marketing concepts.
• Experience with agile project management methodologies and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end lifecycle of e-commerce development projects, including website builds and platform integrations.
• Develop detailed project plans with scope, timelines, budgets and resources.
• Oversee design, development and QA teams to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales and operations to gather requirements and align with business goals.
• Utilize agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) to manage sprints and releases.
• Monitor risks and issues and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure seamless integration with third-party systems such as payment gateways and CRMs.
• Prepare regular status reports for management and stakeholders.
