Job summary

National Grid is seeking a results‑driven Business Analyst to join the Digital and Data team from our Warwick office with flexible hybrid options. You will elicit, document and refine business needs, translate them into clear requirements and acceptance criteria, and collaborate with product and delivery teams to ensure value is delivered.

You’ll work across the full lifecycle from discovery to live service, supporting backlog refinement and testing, with a focus on user-centred digital products

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as business, engineering, information systems or computer science.
• Experience of requirements elicitation, process mapping and current-state to future-state analysis.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and with tools such as Jira and Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Elicit business needs through workshops, interviews, observation and analysis of existing processes, data and documentation.
• Translate business needs into well-formed requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria that a delivery team can act on.
• Support the Product Owner in maintaining and refining the backlog, and in prioritising new features, defects and technical debt against business value and user impact.
• Analyse data, integrations and system interfaces to understand dependencies and the information that flows between them.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, refinement and retrospectives.
