Job summary

Hunter Bond in London is seeking a DevOps Engineer to sit within a software engineering team, owning automation, observability and platform reliability across a mixed on-prem and cloud environment.

You will design and enhance CI/CD pipelines, build dashboards and alerts, own service reliability, and write deployment automation with Helm and Ansible, while collaborating with developers to automate their needs early in delivery.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on experience with Python and shell scripting, Linux, containers (Docker/Podman) and CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
• Production environment experience with distributed systems and network troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Git branching models and configuration management.

Responsibilities

• Design and enhance CI/CD pipelines using current industry best practice.
• Build dashboards and alerting to keep production and test environments running smoothly.
• Own service reliability – investigate, resolve and permanently fix recurring issues.
• Write deployment automation with Helm and Ansible.
• Work hands-on with Kubernetes and Kafka as part of platform integration work.
• Collaborate with development teams to automate their needs early in the delivery lifecycle.
