Job summary

Hunter Bond is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join a growing FinTech team in London. The role involves building and automating on-prem Linux infrastructure, IaC with Terraform, and container environments such as Kubernetes/OpenShift.

You will contribute to CI/CD, GitOps workflows, and automation with Python and Ansible, while collaborating on architecture and supporting multiple teams on deployment and monitoring.

Qualifications

• Solid all round Linux experience, comfortable on the command line.
• Scripting via Bash and Python.
• Terraform and Ansible for IaC/automation.
• Familiarity with GitOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancing, firewalls.
• Container exposure: Kubernetes or Docker.
• Exposure to databases and observability is desirable.
• FinTech/Financial Services experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Build and automate on-prem Linux infrastructure.
• Utilise Terraform for IaC and automation.
• Work on containerised environments such as Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Contribute to automation via Python and Ansible.
• Work on GitOps workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in architectural discussions and add value.
• Support multiple teams with build, CI/CD and devtooling.
• Work with large-scale Linux systems and deployments.
