Job summary

Astellas is seeking a Development Scientist in the UK to participate in the development of clinical strategies for assigned modalities or indications. You will work with the Global Medical Lead, Operations Lead and Medical Monitor, taking accountability for study design, execution, monitoring and analysis.

You will independently lead groups, contribute to HA meetings, and support regulatory submissions while collaborating with external experts and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a relevant scientific discipline with extensive clinical or industry experience.
• Experience with clinical drug development from study design to regulatory submissions.
• Proficiency with MS Office and data analysis software; ability to analyze and present data.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage activities related to current and planned clinical trials for assigned development programs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to contextualize data for timely decision making.
• Support preparation of clinical development plans, site identification and management, and HA interactions.
