Job summary

Astellas is seeking a Development Scientist to shape clinical strategies across modalities, contributing to study design and execution. The role integrates with the GML and Medical Monitor, driving data-driven decisions and regulatory readiness.

You will engage with cross-functional teams, lead clinical development activities, and help advance translational workflows in a hybrid office setting in the UK.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a scientific discipline with clinical development knowledge.
• Publications or registrations with relevant accreditations.
• Experience in biotech/pharma clinical drug development from design to regulatory submissions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage clinical trials protocols, ICFs, CRFs, and study reports for assigned programs.
• Provide cross-functional data synthesis for decision-making and HA interactions.
• Contribute to development plans, site identification, and DESC/meetings readiness.
• Under supervision, monitor medical data and generate analytical reports.
• Lead working groups on protocols, disease areas, or CDP initiatives.
• Prepare for HA meetings with GML and support regulatory submissions.
• Assist in due diligence and assessment of new assets for development.
• Support strategic initiatives across molecules/portfolio and training at investigator meetings.
