Job summary

Astellas is recruiting a Clinical Development Physician (Medical Director) in Oncology for a hybrid role based in the UK, onsite 1 day per quarter at Bourne, London. You will lead cross-functional teams, define strategy for late-phase trials, and drive execution across immuno-oncology programs while maintaining patient safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• MD or MD/PhD with oncology fellowship completed.
• Experience designing and executing clinical trials in pharma.
• Experience working with global teams and in remote/multi-cultural environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design and delivery of clinical trials across late-phase programs or multiple early-phase programs in Immuno-Oncology.
• Lead the clinical study team and collaborate with asset teams to advance trials.
• Act as Medical Monitor ensuring patient safety and generate safety-related documents.
• Provide input on protocol development, regulatory documents, and study analyses.
