Job summary

Hastings Direct is seeking a Desktop Surveyor to assess property damage and remediation needs remotely or on-site with a hybrid approach. You will use our in-house software to determine policy cover, loss value and settle claims for customers with a focus on accuracy and service quality.

The role requires experience in domestic property claims, knowledge of relevant regulations, and strong communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in investigating and handling domestic property claims.
• Strong knowledge of case law, policy cover and loss value assessment.
• Familiar with claims scoping and management software.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer-focused, cost-effective service through virtual surveying.
• Assess property damage and remediation needs using in-house software.
• Prepare and deliver claim decisions and solutions to customers.
• Maintain high standards of communication with internal stakeholders.
