Job summary

Hastings Direct is seeking a Field Surveyor/Adjuster to cover regional areas across the UK. You will assess damage at customers’ homes, quantify losses, and help settlements with a focus on quality customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in field surveying or loss adjusting within insurance.
• Knowledge of domestic building construction and repair methods.
• Proven ability to quantify losses up to £150k.
• Experience handling complex property claims.
• Experience with industry estimating and claims systems.
• Excellent customer service and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Visit customers’ homes to assess damage and validate claims.
• Quantify losses and set reserves with proper records.
• Collaborate with contractors, loss adjusters, and stakeholders.
• Use estimating software to define repair costs.
• Provide technical support on complex property claims.
• Manage claims through to resolution.
