Job summary

WSP is seeking Delivery Leads (Project Managers/Directors and Assistant Project Managers) to manage high-value projects in the Defence and Security sector across the UK. You will report to the Senior Delivery Lead and oversee projects from planning through delivery, including meetings, reports, and resource scheduling.

The role requires a strong background in defence project management, security protocols, and a relevant technical degree, with eligibility for security clearance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in the Defence and Security sector in a project/programme management capacity delivering construction or infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of MOD policy, JSP 850, Green Book and 5 case model for business cases.
• An existing network within the Defence and Security sector.
• Degree in relevant technical discipline (engineering, building, quantity surveying, science, project or construction management).
• Recognised project or programme management qualification from PMI, APM, RICS, CIOB.

Responsibilities

• Deliver projects within the Defence and Security sector, managing scope, resources, finance and schedule.
• Chair meetings, write reports, organise resources and monitor finances.
• Engage with clients and internal teams to scope tasks, deliver to budget and on time.
• Support work-winning activities and act as an ambassador for the sector within the business.
