Job summary

Innova Solutions is seeking a Database Engineer for a 24-month contract in a hybrid London/Sussex setup. The role covers enterprise relational and NoSQL databases, with emphasis on Oracle and PostgreSQL and exposure to Cassandra, MongoDB and Couchbase.

You will automate provisioning, configuration, deployment and lifecycle management, while supporting CI/CD pipelines and production releases across dev, test, staging and production environments.

Qualifications

• Hands-on database engineer with strong DBA fundamentals.
• Experienced with both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Strong Oracle and PostgreSQL skills; exposure to Cassandra, MongoDB and/or Couchbase.
• Automation-focused, with IaC, CI/CD and modern DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Configure, deploy, administer and support enterprise relational and NoSQL databases.
• Support across Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra and Couchbase.
• Build and maintain database environments across dev, test, staging and prod.
• Develop automated approaches for provisioning, configuration, deployment and lifecycle management.
• Implement configuration and infrastructure through code to reduce drift.
• Support deployments via CI/CD pipelines and automated release processes.
• Perform installation, upgrades, patching and version management.
