Penguin Random House UK is seeking an experienced Data Engineer in London for a permanent, hybrid role. You will design, build and maintain reliable data pipelines and a secure Snowflake environment to support reporting, analytics and operations.

You’ll collaborate with DK and PRH teams across Technology, Analytics, Finance and Sales, delivering scalable data solutions and robust governance. The role offers hybrid work and a head office presence in London.

Competenze

• Experience designing, building and supporting scalable data integration solutions.
• Strong Snowflake knowledge; data modelling, secure access and performance.
• SQL expert with large structured datasets; Python for data processing.

Mansioni

• Build and manage data pipelines for reporting, analytics and operations.
• Maintain Snowflake environment, models, schemas, performance and data quality.
• Consolidate data from internal/external sources per PRH standards.
• Automate manual data and reporting with cloud tools and GitHub.
• Manage CI/CD for data solutions; ensure tests and environment moves.
• Support BI needs with dashboards and tools like Power BI, Fabric.
• Create clear docs: data definitions and service transition materials.
• Support testing, incident resolution and performance monitoring.
• Lead technical discussions and promote best practices.
• Keep DK data infrastructure current with new tools and methods.
• Coordinate with Data Governance for monitoring and metadata updates.
