Job summary

Penguin Random House UK is hiring an experienced Data Engineer in London for a permanent, hybrid role. You’ll design, build and maintain data pipelines and Snowflake environments to support reporting, analytics and operational workflows.

You will bring strong SQL and Python skills, experience with ETL/ELT, dbt, Fivetran and BI tools like Power BI or Looker, and participate in CI/CD and governance practices. Embedding security and data quality across DK teams is a key part of the role.

Qualifications

• Strong experience designing, building and supporting scalable data integration solutions.
• Expertise with Snowflake, data modelling, secure access and performance management.
• Excellent SQL skills for large structured datasets and data extraction/analysis.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines for reporting, analytics and operations.
• Maintain Snowflake environment including data models and quality controls.
• Integrate data from internal and external sources ensuring security and alignment with standards.
• Automate data and reporting processes using cloud tools and GitHub.
• Manage CI/CD for data solutions with proper testing and documentation.
