NPAworldwide is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines across government, defence, and critical infrastructure sectors. You will collaborate with customers and internal teams to ensure data availability, quality, and security.

The role supports hybrid/remote UK offices and occasional travel. You will apply modern data engineering practices, governance, and cloud-native architectures to deliver scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Data Engineer in complex or regulated environments.
• Strong knowledge of data management, modelling, integration, quality, and governance.
• Experience with Snowflake and Databricks is essential.
• Experience with cloud-based and distributed data architectures.
• Proficient in SQL and Python.
• Experience with Airflow and Spark.
• Experience with AWS and Azure.
• Understanding of data analytics, visualization, and data sharing.
• Security-conscious data handling experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Interpret, validate, and analyse data requirements across complex environments.
• Design and implement robust ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion and transformation.
• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines for analytics and operations.
• Manage data storage and cloud solutions (S3, AWS, Azure, BigQuery, Snowflake).
• Ensure data quality controls and governance standards.
• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.
• Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Evaluate emerging data technologies and contribute to roadmaps.
