Job summary

HSB, part of the Munich Re Group, is seeking a Credit Controller in a hybrid role based in Birkenhead or Manchester. You’ll manage broker and client accounts, recover payments and maintain strong relationships across internal teams to support cash flow and financial health.

You’ll join a collaborative Credit Management team that values accuracy, proactive problem solving and continuous improvement, with a comprehensive rewards package and hybrid working options.

• Experience in finance/accounts receivable environment.
• Good Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and basic Pivot Tables.
• Experience managing customer accounts and resolving payment queries.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage an allocated portfolio of broker and client accounts, recovering outstanding payments with a professional, customer-focused approach.
• Proactively manage aged debt, resolve queries, carry out reconciliations and build relationships with brokers and internal stakeholders.
• Identify practical solutions to payment issues and ensure credit control processes are followed to support cash flow objectives.
