Job summary

HSB invites applications for a Credit Controller to support the finance team in managing broker and client accounts. The role is based in Birkenhead or Manchester with hybrid working arrangements and a focus on recovering outstanding payments with a professional, customer-focused service.

You will manage aged debt, perform reconciliations, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve cash flow and credit processes. Strong Excel skills and experience in accounts receivable are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in collections or credit control.
• Experience in finance/accounts receivable.
• Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently within a team.
• Customer-focused with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of broker and client accounts to recover payments.
• Proactively chase aged debt and resolve queries.
• Perform reconciliations and build relationships with brokers.
