Workman LLP in the United Kingdom is seeking a highly organised Credit Controller to manage the Building Consultancy sales ledger and maximise cash collection across the business. You will work closely with Partners, Directors and fee earners to chase outstanding debt and resolve payment issues.

The role focuses on effective credit control, identifying recurring billing issues, and supporting the business in improving cash flow.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Credit Control or Accounts Receivable role, ideally within construction, property, or professional services.
• Experience working with finance systems and ERP platforms.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Building Consultancy sales ledger.
• Monitor aged debt and prioritise collection activity.
• Proactively pursue outstanding invoices through telephone, email and client engagement.
• Resolve invoice and payment queries promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of collection activity.
• Escalate significant issues to Partners and Directors where appropriate.
• Produce regular aged debt reports and commentary.
• Support monthly cash collection targets.
