Job summary

Autoglass® is hiring a proactive Credit Controller to join our Finance team at Bedford, hybrid role. You’ll own a portfolio of customer accounts, drive collections, reconcile balances, and resolve disputes in line with policy.

You’ll use strong Excel skills to analyse data, prepare reports, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve cash flow and reduce aged debt. Previous credit control or AR experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a Credit Control or Accounts Receivable role.
• Strong account reconciliation skills with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Excellent Excel skills, including analysing data and producing reports.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage a portfolio of accounts and prioritise workloads effectively.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
• Experience of reducing aged debt, maximising collections, and improving cash flow would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring collections activity is carried out effectively and in line with company policies and customer agreements.
• Reconciling accounts, investigating and resolving queries, managing disputes, and ensuring accurate billing and payment processes.
• Work collaboratively across the business to identify and resolve issues, improve processes, and support positive customer relationships.
• Using your analytical skills and attention to detail, investigate discrepancies, manage unallocated cash, produce reports, and provide valuable insights to help improve cash flow and reduce aged debt.
