Job summary

CMA Recruitment Group is actively seeking a Cost Accountant to join a manufacturing environment in the UK. You will manage cost accounting processes, perform stock reconciliations, and partner with operations to optimize inventory valuation and control procedures.

The role supports month-end closing, forecasting, and reporting related to inventory, with a focus on data integrity and continuous improvement. A professional qualification such as ACCA/CIMA/ACA is preferred, or relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience with cost accounting and WIP management.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems, ideally Business Central.
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or ACA preferred.
• Excellent communication and proactive problem-solving abilities.
• Confident in building relationships across departments.

Responsibilities

• Manage cost accounting processes across stock categories.
• Conduct stock reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Partner with operational teams to optimise inventory valuation.
• Support month-end closing, reporting, and forecasting.
• Drive continuous improvement for inventory accuracy and efficiency.
