Forrest Recruitment Ltd. is partnered with a manufacturing organisation seeking an Accountant to join on a permanent basis. The role involves partnering with site leadership on financial performance, managing reporting, and supporting planning and costing.

The ideal candidate will be Part Qualified (CIMA), IT-literate with ERP and Excel, highly organised and ready to contribute to monthly closing and forecast cycles. Hybrid working is offered with some UK travel to Glasgow.

Qualifications

• Previous finance experience working in a similar role.
• Part qualified accountant (CIMA)
• IT literate with emphasis on ERP Systems and MS Excel
• Highly organised with attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Partner with the site leadership team on financial performance.
• Manage weekly and monthly financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
• Analyse factory performance and provide commentary on key movements and trends.
• Monitor expenditure against budgets and forecasts, identify variances, risks and opportunities.
• Prepare month-end journals with accruals and prepayments in line with policies.
• Produce monthly management reporting and present to the wider international finance team.
• Oversee inventory reporting and ensure stock values are reflected on the balance sheet.
• Manage site capital expenditure reporting and asset capitalization timelines.
• Support product costing for goods manufactured at the site.
• Lead the site's planning and forecasting cycle.
• Provide financial analysis to support operational and commercial decisions.
• Collaborate with UK and international finance stakeholders to maintain controls.
