Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Construction Planner in Chichester with hybrid working across UK sites. You will own programmes from baseline to look-ahead, coordinating with project managers, pre-construction teams and senior leadership on live projects and tenders.

The role covers defence and secure infrastructure schemes across the UK, with exposure to programmes £250k to £8m, a strong pipeline of work and clear career development.

Qualifications

• Previous planning experience in construction, engineering or infrastructure.
• Proficient in Microsoft Project with logic links, baseline programmes and progress updates.
• Good understanding of construction sequencing, programme management and project delivery.
• Experience producing and maintaining project programmes, analysing critical paths and monitoring progress.
• Strong analytical, organisational and reporting skills.
• Confident communication with project teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to manage programme updates and deadlines across multiple projects.
• Eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC or DV level.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain and update logic-linked construction programmes for allocated projects.
• Develop baseline programmes, supporting narratives and revised schedules with project teams.
• Monitor progress against programmes, identify delays, critical paths and milestones.
• Produce look-ahead programmes, progress reports and milestone forecasts for site coordination.
• Support teams in identifying programme risks and developing recovery plans.
• Assist pre-construction with tender programmes, sequencing and bid submissions.
• Assess programme impact of variations and delays, escalate critical issues.
• Liaise with project managers, clients, consultants and supply chain partners.
