Job summary

Rolls-Royce in Derby is recruiting for a Component Design Engineer to join the Engineering for Production and Aftermarket (EPA) team. The role focuses on supporting new component manufacture, engine build, overhaul deliveries, and on-wing service support in a hybrid environment.

You will collaborate with suppliers, assess non-conformances, and work with the MRO network to ensure fleet safety and maximum Time on Wing. A engineering degree and turbomachinery understanding are preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in an engineering discipline.
• Experience with gas turbine architecture is preferred.
• Experience in assessing non-conformance and manufacturing engineering is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of suppliers through design/manufacturing collaboration and assess non-conformance.
• Protect fleet health by working with MRO network to assess Technical Variances and support engine overhaul deliveries.
• Drive the journey to zero defects, completing proactive tasks to reduce concessions TVs within production and aftermarket.
• Support on-wing service issues to maximise Time on Wing while ensuring product safety.
