Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking an Electrical Systems Engineer for a hybrid role in the United Kingdom. The role covers concept studies, electrical system design, modelling, simulation, and demonstrators across aerospace power technologies up to multi-MW levels and ~1 kV.

You will drive system architecture, MBSE processes, and collaborate across partners and suppliers. You will contribute to the electrical systems technology strategy, write technical documents, and lead projects with senior and junior

Qualifications

Professionally qualified engineer with aerospace electrical systems background.
Experience writing electrical system requirements and specifications.
Experience developing and validating electrical power systems and sub-systems connecting to a grid or loads via distribution.

Responsibilities

Strategy: develop and implement innovative electrical technology solutions for power generation and distribution.
Project Definition: lead electrical project scoping, proposals, approvals, and funding.
Problem Solving: tackle technical, compliance and business challenges using rigorous analysis.
Collaboration: build internal/external networks to advance the subject area.
Leadership: provide technical direction to peers and junior staff.
People Capability: define and deliver training; support development of others.
Standards Definition: define and promote policies, standards and best practices.
