Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Hybrid-enabled teams across Derby, Solihull, and Bristol. You will design, develop, verify, and deliver high-quality software components aligned with DO178 objectives and model-based or manual coding approaches.

You will collaborate in an Agile setting, document decisions, and contribute to continuous improvement while maintaining rigorous quality and timelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in software design and embedded software development.
• Familiarity with model-based or C-based development approaches.
• Understanding of engineering lifecycle processes and constraints.
• Ability to interpret technical data and test results.
• Strong ownership, prioritisation and risk management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop software components across the lifecycle to meet DO178 objectives.
• Evaluate verification results and support defect investigation and analysis.
• Follow configuration management and DevOps change control practices.
• Collaborate in an Agile environment with cross-functional teams.
• Create documentation evidencing design decisions and verification outcomes.
• Contribute to process improvement and knowledge sharing initiatives.
