Job summary

Lloyds Banking Group is seeking a Complex Loss Claim Handler for Home Insurance Claims in Halifax. You will own a portfolio of complex home claims, guiding customers from start to finish and coordinating with partners to settle fairly and efficiently.

The role offers hybrid working with two in-office days per week in Halifax, and a clear focus on balancing excellent customer outcomes with cost management. Training and professional development are supported.

Qualifications

• Experience handling insurance claims or working within the insurance industry.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• The ability to build trust and rapport with customers.
• Confidence managing multiple cases and prioritising workloads.
• Strong investigation and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing a caseload of complex insurance claims through to resolution.
• Acting as the main point of contact for customers, keeping them informed throughout their claim.
• Reviewing information, evidence and documentation to assess claims and make informed decisions.
• Working with partners, repair providers, suppliers, solicitors and other insurers to progress claims efficiently.
• Identifying opportunities to recover costs where another party may be responsible.
• Ensuring claims are settled fairly, in line with policy terms and industry regulations.
