Job summary

Avon Fire & Rescue Service is seeking a Community Safety Administrator to provide essential administrative support to the Vulnerable Adults Team, coordinating Home Fire Safety Visits and acting as a professional point of contact for the public.

Hybrid working can be discussed at interview. The role includes handling enquiries, updating systems, and liaising with CSWs and external agencies to ensure visits are arranged and recorded accurately.

Qualifications

• Provide admin support to the Vulnerable Adults Team.
• Handle inquiries and relay messages to management.
• Maintain accurate records across departmental systems.
• Coordinate Home Fire Safety Visits with staff and external agencies.
• DBS checks are required for employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide a professional first point of contact for public and external agencies regarding HFSV requests.
• Process and respond to inquiries, relaying messages to team members as needed.
• Ensure information is recorded accurately on departmental data storage systems.
• Coordinate, schedule, and book HFSVs for CSWs and Station Staff.
• Receive and register incoming mail and dispatch outgoing mail.
• Provide feedback on the status of HFSVs to external agencies in a professional manner.
• Deliver administrative support to enable the wider team to operate efficiently.
• Assist the Community Data Safety Administrator with data checking or cleansing.
• Suggest improvements to procedures and use technology to increase efficiency.
