Binnies UK, part of the @one Alliance, is seeking a Commercial Director to lead the alliance's commercial function in Peterborough. This senior role shapes strategy, governance and contract management across NEC-based programmes, delivering value for Anglian Water and alliance partners.

You'll build a high-performing team, drive cost management and risk mitigation, and foster innovative, sustainable commercial practices while championing an inclusive culture and strong stakeholder relationships

Qualifications

• Senior commercial leadership experience delivering major infrastructure programmes worth hundreds of millions.
• Proven track record leading commercial strategy within engineering, utilities, infrastructure or construction.
• Extensive NEC contract and commercial management experience across large capital programmes.
• Strong knowledge of procurement, commercial governance and risk management.
• Experience in regulated environments and collaborative delivery models.
• Outstanding stakeholder management with Exec/Board influence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the Alliance's commercial strategy and governance.
• Lead commercial, estimating and contract management functions; build a high-performing team.
• Provide strategic commercial advice to the Executive Leadership Team and Board.
• Establish robust commercial governance, assurance and reporting frameworks.
• Lead contract management across NEC-based programmes and manage risk, change and claims.
• Drive cost management, forecasting, value engineering and financial controls.
• Foster relationships with Anglian Water, Alliance partners and wider supply chain.
• Lead development of resilient, sustainable supply chain strategies.
• Champion innovation and continuous improvement in the commercial function.
