Job summary

Stoke-on-Trent Technology is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer for on‑premise and cloud operations to support and optimise key IT platforms worldwide. The role focuses on Citrix infrastructure, mail services, and identity management while driving automation and process improvements.

You will collaborate across IT to ensure platform stability, high service availability, and efficient incident resolution, developing deeper expertise in one or more technology areas.

Qualifications

• Experience as a multi-skilled and adaptable engineer responsible for day-to-day operation, support, and optimisation of IT platforms across on-premise and cloud.
• Strong knowledge of Citrix XenServer and Virtual Apps and Desktops.
• Experience with identity and access technologies such as Okta and Entra ID.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies (M365, AVD, GCP) and Exchange Online administration.
• Familiarity with Active Directory/Group Policy, Ivanti UWM, Splunk, and scripting in PowerShell.
• Experience with Net2 CCTV and access monitoring tools.
• Ability to document, share knowledge, and contribute to automation and tooling improvements.

Responsibilities

• Install, manage, and monitor Citrix infrastructure to ensure high availability.
• Manage and monitor mail services including Exchange and ESA.
• Manage identity and access using Okta and Entra ID.
• Optimise the M365 environment for the business.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and drive resolution, including automation tasks.
• Write scripts to automate repetitive tasks and improve processes.
• Manage Group Policy and user personalization.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation and share knowledge with the team.
