Job summary

University of Exeter is seeking an IT Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to join the Service Management division of IT Services on a full-time basis. The role is based on Streatham campus in Exeter with a hybrid pattern requiring 2–3 days on site per week.

The successful candidate will monitor core infrastructure services, resolve issues proactively, and escalate where appropriate. A detailed background in cloud platforms and ITIL practices is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in administering cloud and infrastructure platforms and technologies.
• Working knowledge of ITIL framework and best practices.
• Enterprise data centre experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Monitor core infrastructure services and proactively resolve incidents.
• Progress support tickets and act as first point of contact for the Cloud & Infrastructure team.
• Coordinate with 1st/2nd/3rd line teams to ensure requests and incidents are resolved.
• Collaborate with senior Cloud & Infrastructure engineers to deliver projects.
