Job summary

Guardian News and Media is seeking a Hybrid Cloud Engineer to join the Hybrid Cloud team, driving migration of on-premise services to AWS while maintaining our hybrid infrastructure.

You will work with Windows Server, VMware and EntraID, implement IaC, automate workflows and participate in on-call rotations. The role requires collaboration across IT and business teams in a hybrid London office.

Qualifications

• Experience with AWS in hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Experience supporting Windows Server, VMware, and AD-related identity services.
• Experience migrating on-prem to cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of CIS/NIST security benchmarks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop our hybrid infrastructure with a strong focus on AWS migration.
• Implement best practices and maintain platform standards.
• Liaise with IT management and wider technology teams to discuss designs and improvements.
• Provision, implement and manage AWS infrastructure components (VMs, storage, networking).
• Develop, manage and maintain Infrastructure as Code and automation tooling.
