Job summary

JDR Admin in Birmingham is expanding and seeks a capable accountant to own the day-to-day client relationship and manage work from bookkeeping through draft accounts, tax and compliance, with technical review before finalisation.

This hands-on role is ideal for someone who wants to broaden technical experience across a real variety of small-business clients, with support and review rather than being left to sink or swim.

Qualifications

• Handle bookkeeping, VAT, year-end accounts, and tax work.
• Own day-to-day client relationship with the portfolio.
• Work to a review standard with sign-off before finalisation.
• Assist onboarding of new clients as we grow.
• Manage deadlines across multiple clients using cloud workflows.

Responsibilities

• Process client work start to finish - bookkeeping, VAT returns, year-end accounts, corporation tax, self-assessment tax returns and confirmation statements
• Own the relationship day to day - day-to-day client contact for queries, information requests and routine compliance
• Work to a review standard - your work is reviewed and signed off before it's finalised
• Support onboarding - help bring new clients on board smoothly as we grow
• Keep work moving - manage deadlines through our cloud workflow
