Job summary

Pro Talent is recruitment partner for a well-established West Sussex accountancy firm seeking a Client Bookkeeper to join the outsourcing team. You will manage your own portfolio of owner-managed businesses, handling bookkeeping, VAT submissions, and month-end processes in a supportive, local-feel team.

The role emphasizes client contact, hybrid working after settling in, and opportunities to study further with AAT support.

Qualifications

• Solid bookkeeping experience, ideally gained in practice or a bureau.
• AAT qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience. All three work here.
• Comfortable with cloud software and learning new systems.
• Strong client contact mindset and reliability under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Run the bookkeeping for a portfolio of client businesses.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns.
• Manage bank reconciliations and month-end routines.
