Job summary

Horwich Farrelly is recruiting a Claims Handler for a hybrid permanent role in the Birmingham area. You will handle first notification of loss, coordinate with suppliers and investigators, and strive to deliver excellent customer service while ensuring cost efficient claims settlement.

The role requires at least 12 months’ experience in claim handling, preferably with defendant or insurer caseloads. You will need strong communication, the ability to work under pressure, and a client-focused

Qualifications

• 12 months experience in a claim handling role, preferably for defendant or insurer.
• Experience with MOJ and OIC Portal is advantageous but not essential.
• Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and professionally with customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a first-class experience to customers to resolve claims quickly.
• Manage activities on all aspects of claims to maximise cost control and settlements.
• Register new claims (FNOL/First Notification of Loss) per service level agreements.
• Instruct suppliers/investigators, validate policy cover and assess liability.
• Maintain proactive, professional communication to manage expectations and insurer relationships.
