Job summary

Howden in Manchester is seeking a Claims Handler to manage a portfolio of commercial insurance claims from notification through to settlement. You will support clients throughout the claims journey, providing updates and reassurance while delivering a high standard of customer service.

You will work closely with brokers, insurers and loss adjusters to secure timely, fair settlements and to ensure compliant handling of claims.

Qualifications

Strong understanding of commercial insurance policies and claims procedures.
Experience in commercial claims handling within an insurance brokerage.
Experience managing client relationships and delivering customer service.
Understanding of insurance principles and regulatory requirements.
Minimum 18 months' experience in a commercial claims role.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of commercial insurance claims from notification to settlement.
Support clients with the claims process, providing updates and reassurance.
Collaborate with brokers, insurers and loss adjusters to achieve timely resolution.
Assess policy coverage and claims information to inform decisions.
