Job summary

Eventus Legal is seeking an Employment Solicitor (NQ to around 5 years' PQE) to join a growing Employment Department in Leeds. The role offers a full-time, permanent position with hybrid working (2–3 days at home after probation) and a chance to manage a predominantly claimant Employment Tribunal caseload.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with employment law experience from NQ up to ~5 years' PQE.
• Experience with employment disputes and progressing Tribunal matters with independence.
• Strong drafting, written advocacy and oral presentation skills.
• Ability to explain complex employment issues clearly to clients.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail; able to prioritise deadlines.
• Proactive, able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good IT skills and commitment to maintaining current employment law knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage predominantly claimant Employment Tribunal caseload from instructions to conclusion.
• Draft pleadings, prepare case documentation and progress Employment Tribunal proceedings.
• Represent clients at Employment Tribunal hearings and present cases clearly.
• Take detailed client instructions and provide practical employment law advice.
• Instruct and liaise with Counsel or other experts as appropriate.
• Advise on employment contracts, service agreements and related non-contentious matters.
• Review settlement agreements and advise clients on terms and options.
