Job summary

ALWOODLEY CIVILS LIMITED in Leeds is recruiting for a hybrid role suited to both trainees and seasoned civils specialists and machine operators. You will assist with civil works such as excavation, ground preparation, drainage installation, and site clearance, and operate construction machinery safely under supervision.

You'll follow project plans, participate in toolbox talks, complete basic reporting and equipment checklists, and collaborate with supervisors and contractors to deliver projects

Qualifications

• Civils and machine operation skills including safe machine operation.
• Quality control processes and following site procedures.
• Safe use of hand tools and basic groundworks knowledge.
• Strong communication with supervisors, colleagues and contractors.
• Willingness to learn for trainee candidates; experience in civils/plants is beneficial.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations; CSCS/CPCS/NPORS tickets are an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site in Leeds with some tasks from home.

Responsibilities

• Assist with and perform civil works such as excavation, ground preparation and drainage installation.
• Operate construction machinery safely under supervision.
• Support site setup, toolbox talks and site maintenance.
• Complete basic reporting and equipment checklists; collaborate to meet project deadlines.
