Job summary

Carrington West is seeking a Civils Site Engineer in Leeds to join a well-established civil engineering contractor. You will focus on setting out, safety, and delivering works on live infrastructure schemes, with hands-on project exposure and clear development paths.

The role requires an HND in Civil Engineering, MS Office skills, and experience with site-based practices; desirables include LSS or N4CE survey software. This is a salaried, permanent position with a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of HND (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering.
• Relevant technical training certificates.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
• Experience using LSS or N4CE survey software (desirable).
• Good understanding of site-based engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring accurate setting out and safe construction in line with contract drawings and specifications.
• Supporting the delivery of works in compliance with client and contractual requirements.
• Maintaining site records and producing as-built drawings in agreement with client representatives.
• Ensuring full compliance with company Quality Management Systems.
• Providing accurate measurements and records to support monthly valuations.
• Supporting site teams with technical queries and on-site problem solving.
• Ensuring high standards of safety, quality and customer care at all times.
• Stepping into site management responsibilities for short-term cover when required.
