Job summary

Gva Trees is seeking a Civils Operative in Halifax. The role supports infrastructure, landscaping, and environmental projects through practical groundworks and civil engineering activities. This position is full-time or available on a subcontract basis, with immediate and ongoing availability. Successful candidates will follow strict health, safety, and environmental procedures while working as part of a site team.

Qualifications

Carry out groundworks and civil engineering activities on site.

A Civils Operative supports the delivery of infrastructure, landscaping, and environmental improvement projects across highways, public spaces, and natural environments. The role involves practical groundworks and civil engineering activities that enable vegetation management, landscaping, drainage, and environmental restoration works.

Working as part of a site team, Civils Operatives help prepare and construct the infrastructure needed for projects including woodland creation, SuDS drainage systems, fencing installations, and habitat restoration.
