Job summary

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting an experienced Account Manager / Customer Account Manager to join our Exeter team. The role focuses on building strong client relationships, identifying new business opportunities and delivering excellent customer service.

Working Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5pm, with one Saturday in four and some work from home. A permanent contract with potential to gain an on-the-job degree and clear career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience in account management and building client relationships.
• Proven track record of winning new business and developing B2B relationships.
• Customer-focused approach with strong commercial mindset.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Confident handling queries and identifying opportunities to cross-sell and upsell.
• Tenacious, proactive and commercially curious.
• Strong questioning and listening skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop professionally.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with new and existing clients from sole traders to senior leaders.
• Identify opportunities to develop and grow client accounts.
• Support business growth through cross-selling and upselling.
• Handle client queries professionally and provide effective solutions.
• Work closely with the Manager to achieve business objectives.
• Develop new business through networking, marketing, community engagement and client meetings.
• Take a consultative approach to understand client needs and identify suitable solutions.
• Maintain strong, long-term B2B relationships.
• Monitor market and client activity to identify new opportunities.
