Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our Local Government Team in Gloucester. You will work with a multi-disciplinary team delivering highways, structures and geotech projects and supporting the client and partners to meet scope, programme, budget and quality targets.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering a range of project management activities and processes.
• Good understanding of commercial and financial project management.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Experience producing programmes using MS Project or similar software.
• Working towards professional status through the APM or similar body.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate multi-disciplinary project and design teams through feasibility, design, procurement and construction stages.
• Support highways, drainage, structures, traffic and other technical specialists for integrated delivery.
• Assist management of technical approvals, design reviews, CDM, H&S, QA and design assurance.
• Assist design-related activities: surveys, drawings, site measures and risk reviews.
• Monitor design programmes and manage interfaces between design, client and construction activities.
• Lead and support project management processes: planning, scope, cost estimates, risk analysis and reporting.
• Develop project management plans and produce weekly/monthly progress reports for client and wider business.
• Coordinate inputs across WSP teams and remote offices in the UK and overseas.
