Job summary

Brett Martin is seeking a proactive and tech-minded Assistant Management Accountant to join our finance team in Coventry, with hybrid working options. You will prepare monthly journals, manage prepayments and accruals, and reconcile the balance sheet while building dashboards from multiple datasets to support KPI tracking and forecasting.

You will leverage modern tools like Microsoft Copilot, advanced Excel, and BI datasets to drive efficiency, gain insights, and contribute to cost-saving

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts department with general ledger postings.
• Analytical review of financial data.
• Solid understanding of accounting systems and IT systems.
• Excellent Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to extract, cleanse, and structure datasets for reporting and analysis.
• Desirable: CIMA/ACCA part-qualification or Accounting degree; Dynamics 365; Sage 50 Payroll; AI tools in finance; Power BI/Power Query.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journals, manage prepayments and accruals.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations.
• Create dashboards and clean datasets for KPI tracking and forecasting.
• Support commercial forecasting and variance analysis.
• Collaborate with Finance Manager and Management Accountant.
