Job summary

Brett Martin Daylight Systems is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join a on-site finance team in Coventry with hybrid options. You will prepare monthly journals, manage accruals and prepayments, and perform balance sheet reconciliations while building dashboards from finance, stock and payroll data to support KPI tracking and forecasting.

You will work with AI-assisted processes, advanced Excel, and BI datasets to deliver insights and drive cost-saving actions.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts departments with general ledger postings.
• Analytical review of financial data experience.
• Solid understanding of accounting systems and IT systems.
• Excellent Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to extract, cleanse and structure datasets for reporting and analysis.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; able to work independently and with a team.
• Ability to prioritise workloads to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journals, manage prepayments and accruals, and perform balance sheet reconciliations.
• Craft dynamic dashboards and clean datasets from finance, stock and payroll systems to support KPI tracking and forecasting.
• Collaborate with Finance Manager and Management Accountant; contribute to AI-assisted finance initiatives.
