Job summary

Sandwell Children’s Trust is seeking an Assistant HR Business Partner on a fixed-term contract until 31 August 2027. The role is 37 hours per week, hybrid, within the busy Human Resources Team.

You will work with the Head of HR to drive strategic HR projects, develop policies and guide managers through complex employee relations while delivering the workforce strategy in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Experienced HR professional with a background of working in complex environments.
• CIPD qualification or equivalent.
• Demonstrable experience of organisational change in a fast-paced organisation.
• Proven project management experience with ability to deliver to deadlines.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes.
• Clear commitment to diversity and inclusion across the business.

Responsibilities

• Work with Head of HR and HRBP to support and deliver strategic projects.
• Develop and roll out HR policies and guidance including formal TU consultations with stakeholders and managers.
• Support managers with complex employee relations issues.
• Support delivery of the workforce strategy and lead on key themes.
• Work across all HR disciplines as required.
• Contribute to making a difference to the lives of children and young people in Sandwell.
